Day 01     (Thiruvananthapuram)

Padmanabha swami TempleArrival Trivandrum Airport from Home. You are picked up from the Airport or from any location in Trivandrum by the representative of Halo Backwaters for your journey in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The name “Thiruvananthapuram” means the ‘abode of Anantha’ – referring to the sacred snake god on whom Lord Vishnu reclines.The British found the name too much of a mouthful and anglicised it to ‘Trivandrum’.The capital of Kerala,this unpretentious city is clean,green and has a leisurely feel to it.

After a short relaxation, you can take sightseeing tour of Trivandrum city, (16 kms) the capital of the state of Kerala. The famous Sri Padmanabhaswamy Swami Temple is dedicated to Vishnu and is a landmark in the city.Other places of interest are the Putten Malige Palace, Art gallery & Zoo.Check into the hotel.Overnight stay at Trivandrum.

Sri Padmanabhaswamy Swami Temple: Only Hindus are allowed inside the temple. 

Putten Malige Palace : Open 08 30 – 12 30 and 15 30 – 1730 Hrs.Closed on Monday. 

Art gallery : Open 10 00 – 16 45 Hrs.Closed on Mondays and Wednesday forenoons. 

The Zoological Park : Open 10 00 – 18 00 Hrs.Closed on Monday.

Day 02     (Thiruvananthapuram - Varkala)

Transfer to Varkala a popular seaside destination near Trivandrum.Varkala is also an important Hindu centre of pilgrimage. Arrive and check into your hotel. The day is free for your leisure at the beach.Overnight stay at Varkala.

Day 03     (Varkala)

Varkala BeachThe Papanasam Beach at Varkala is a quiet, secluded beach known for its white, silvery stretch of sand, mineral springs and rocky cliffs. It is also the final resting place of Sree Narayana Guru, the great social reformer of Kerala, is near Varkala atop a hill named Sivagiri. High cliffs from mineral springs majestically rise is a scene typical of Varkala.Overnight stay at Varkala.

Day 04     (Varkala – Alappuzha Houseboat Cruise)

After breakfast drive to Alappuzha & check into the houseboat at 12 noon for 1 Night / 2 Days riding in the backwaters & small canals.

A glide in a houseboat through the enchanting backwaters is sure to rob your heart. Palm fringed narrow canals winding through the vast expense of panoramic sight one can never forgetting less than 15 minutes, the low hum of the motor and the dazzling afternoon light have tuned out the noises in your head, the deadlines, the telephone, the unfinished chapters. Watch the white tire-tread clouds turn into wisps of animal fur and then disappear. The isolation on a luxury houseboat is total. Overnight stay in a houseboat.

Pick up from Alleppey Finishing Point Jetty at 1200 hours. Cruise through Vembanadu Lake to reach Kumarakam at 17 00 hours. Overnight stay at Kumarakom.

Day 05     (Alappuzha Houseboat Cruise)

Cruise through Azhikkal Canal, Kuppappuram, Pallathuruthy, Kainakary Church canal, Venattukadu Canal, Cherukayal, C-Blcock, Marthandam, R-Block and reach E-Block Tharishu for the night stay.

Day 06     (Alappuzha -  Kochi)

Chineese Fishing NetAfter breakfast,you will be check-out in Alappuzha from the house boat and transferred to Kochi. Alappuzha is a unique backwater destination situated on the banks of the Vembanad Lake is considered as gateway to the backwater of Kuttanad, the granary of Kerala.

Transfer to Kochi.Till recently, Kochi was Cochin, and only half as frenetic. It was a lagoon that made Kochi as cherished destination as far back as the early 16th century and it is the same lagoon that makes Kochi one of the nation's busiest port now.

After lunch in the hotel proceed for the sightseeing in and around Kochi. The most important heritage sightseeing is in Fort Kochi and Mattancherry. You will need a couple of hours of leisurly walks to take in this heritage quarter. The heritage quarter are includes Santa Cruz Basilica, Princess Street, St.Francis, Dutch Cemetery, Jew Street, Pardesi Synagogue and Chinese Fishing net.Overnight stay at Kochi.

Day 07     (Kochi)

After lunch proceeds to visit the Tripunithra Hill Palace and Museum, the summer retreat of the Kochi Rajas, Bisque and granite floors segue into teak ones and the whole place is redolent of bygone opulence. Overnight stay at Kochi.

Half day relaxation and on independent activities. Evening enjoy the harbour cruise through the backwaters of Kochi (Cost of this cruise is Extra). Overnight stay at Kochi.

Day 08     (Kochi - Munnar)

MunnarGet ready after breakfast for your morning drive to Munnar, where sprawling tea plantations, picture book towns, winding lanes, trekking and holiday facilities make it a unique experience. On the way visiting Cheyyappara Waterfalls, viewpoints etc. Check in to your resort and get ready for the special trip to Pothamedu for an excellent view of the tea, coffee and cardamom plantations in Munnar. The breath taking scenery here is ideal for trekking and long mountain walks. Return to your resort in the evening.

Day 09     (Munnar)

This morning after breakfast, visit Mattupetty famous for its highly specialized dairy farm, the Indo-Swiss live stock project. Proceed to Mattupetty lake and dam, which is a very beautiful picnic spot. You could enjoy boating in the lake and view mountains and landscapes from afar. Onwards proceed to Echo point famous for the natural echo phenomenon and then to Top Station offering marvelous views of Munnar valley below. 

Say hello to the Nilgiri Tahr.Half the world population of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr lives in the Eravikulam National Park at Munnar.Friendly as they are, you can pat them or pose for pictures with them. So meet them and have plenty to brag about back home.Overnight stay at Munnar.

Day 10     (Munnar - Thekkady)

KathakaliGet ready after breakfast for your morning drive to Thekkady (Periyar) nestled in spice and rubber plantations. Known to be Kerala's pride and testimony to nature's splendor, Periyar has a lot to offer in terms of wildlife. Periyar is famous for its rare habitat of birds and animals and is one of the most popular destinations for nature lovers. Check in to your resort and get ready for your trip to cardamom hills where you could have a closer look at the spice plantations. 

Later in the evening enjoy Kathakali dance presentation. Kathakali (literally, story play), the spectacular classical dance drama of Kerala based on the guidelines laid by Saga Bharatha's Natya Sastra,the ancient treatise on dance and drama, is over 500 years old. Overnight at Thekkady.

Day 11     (Thekkady)

Thekkady LakeAfter breakfast visit at Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary one of India's biggest wildlife sanctuaries covering 777 sq. Km (300 Sq. miles) is a Tiger Reserve. Its centre piece, the man-made Periyar Lake at the height of 2000 ft. covers 26 sq. km, running through the forests of the Western Ghats in Kerala, discover the park, animals found here include elephant, sambar, gaur and wild boars and birds like ibis and grey heron. 

The visit is done in a boat to view animals with a bit of extra luck we may be able to see the rare tiger as well. A boat ride on the lake is a delightful way of spotting elephants and avifauna. If you are forunate, you might even spot the pride of the sanctuary, the tiger. Although tiger sightings are not very common, there are enough of these magnificent felines around (Boat ride is depend upon the availability of the cruise (Cost of this tour is Extra)). 

Later on proceed to visit the Elephant Junction or Elephant Camp. This is a unique experience, seated atop an elephant; guests are taken along trails into the depths of the cardamom, pepper, coffee and tea plantation. The ride can be a miss of moments of pure terror interspersed with long perid of utter peace. Overnight at Thekkady.

Day 12     (Thekkady - Madurai)

Meenakshi Temple,MaduraiAfter breakfast drive to Madurai.After a short relaxation at your hotel drive to Madurai Meenakshi Temple, one of the largest temple complex in India built between the 16th and 18th centuries. Apart from the estimated 33 million sculptures there, the temple is absolutely absorbing with the endless rounds of ceremonies, prostration of countless devotees and glittering market stalls, later visit Tiruparankundram Murugan Temple, Palamuthirsolai Murugan Temple. Overnight at Madurai.

Day 13     (Madurai - Kanyakumari)

KanyakumariAfter breakfast proceed to Kanyakumari.Watching the sun rise and sun set from here is the big attraction,especially on the full moon day in April,when it's possible to see both the setting sun and rising moon on the same horizon.Other attractions are Kumari Amman Temple,Gandhi Mandapam and Vivekananda Memorial.Overnight at Kanniyakumari.

Day 14     (Kanyakumari - Kovalam)

After breakfast,drive to Kovalam and check into the resort.Despite the fact that virtually the entire 550 Km length of the Kerala coast is lined with sandy beaches, rocky promontories and coconut palms,Kovalam is one of the only place where swimming in the sea is not considered eccentric by locals. Overnight stay at Kovalam. 

Day 15     (Kovalam)

Kovalam BeachKovalam has been a favorite haunt of tourists especially Europeans,since the 1930s.A massive rocky promontory on the beach has created a beautiful Bay of calm waters ideal for sea bathing.The day is free for leisure at resort,Ayurveda treatment,massage,yoga classes,swimming,beach volleyball,indoor games and Learn to cook with spices,sunbathing,special cultural programs,Catamaran cruising etc.Overnight stay at Kovalam.

16     (Kovalam - Thiruvanathapuram)

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Trivandrum airport to catch the flight  to home. On departure the tour concludes with happy memories. Tour Concludes.

- The above cost is for 01 people on twin sharing basis.

- A minimum of 02 persons are required.

- For the package with transportation a minimum of 2 people is mandatory

- Children above the age of 12 years will be charged the applicable adult rates.

- Children above the age of 05 years will be charged the applicable extra bed rates.

- In case of an extra person, the third bed is a rollaway bed or cot.

- Base category rooms are allotted for the stay, Any requirement / availability of higher category of room would incur extra cost.

- A/c in the houseboat will be working from 09.00 PM to 07.00 AM.
- Houseboat will be anchored from 05 00 PM to 0730 AM
- Accommodation in A/c rooms in all places except in Munnar and Thekkady where rooms are Non a/c.

- All reservations are depending upon the availability of rooms at the time of your final confirmation.

- The company is not responsible for the  event of any of the above mentioned sightseeing are  not becoming available at a particular date caused by factors beyond our control like rail and flight delays, roadblocks, vehicle mal-functions, political disturbances, holidays and maintenance work in the park or museum.

- The company will not be held responsible for any damages or sabotage caused to the property of the customer due to riots, armed dacoities, terrorist activity or any other incidents, events, occurrences etc., if for any reason whatsoever his employee or representative is present at the customer's premises during such happening provided that they have no role in such happenings.

- The company is not liable to  provide the vehicle(s) contracted for in case he is unable to do so on account of mob violence, riots, communal violence, strike, agitation, natural calamities, flooding, inundation, water logging, typhoon, cyclone or other obstructions/disturbances etc. adversely affecting, threatening or obstructing safe passage for the vehicle. In such event the contractor will try to provide transport to the maximum extent possible & the may customer may not insist, pressure or coerce the contractor or his driver on such occasions & reluctance, disinclination or refusal on the part of the driver will not be construed to be misconduct, dereliction, disrespect or deficiency in service on the part of the contractor. The driver's judgement is such cases to be accepted by all parties.

- Reserve the rooms at an equivalent hotel, if the room is not available at hotels/resorts mentioned.

 - Confirmation of Tour Package is subject to the remittance of 25% of the total tour cost in advance and balance to be paid prior to the commencing of the tour so as to protect all arrangements on definite arrival basis.

- 30 days before the commencement of the tour: 25% of the tour cost will be levied.

- 15 days before the commencement of the tour: 50% of the tour cost will be levied.

- Less than 15 days before the commencement of the tour: 75% of the tour cost will be levied.

- Less than 07 days before the commencement of the tour: 100% of the tour cost will be levied.

- No refund is entitled “for no shows”.
